The Aurora GEO Extractor is a Chrome browser extension that lets you capture AI-generated search results — from tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews — directly while you browse, and forward them into your Aurora campaigns.

Why Use It?
Aurora's automated tracking runs queries on a schedule and records which brands AI platforms mention. The GEO Extractor complements this by letting you capture any AI response you come across in real time — whether it's a result you searched for manually, a conversation you're already having with an AI assistant, or a response triggered by a specific prompt you want to test.
Use cases:
- Spot-check a query — run a prompt in ChatGPT or Perplexity and instantly extract which brands are mentioned and cited, without waiting for the next scheduled run.
- Capture edge cases — test phrasing variations or long-tail queries that aren't in your campaign and see how brand visibility differs.
- Validate campaign data — manually confirm that Aurora's automated results match what you see live in the browser.
- Enrich your pipeline — every extraction you submit is stored alongside your campaign data, giving you a richer dataset for analysis.
Prerequisites
- Google Chrome (or a Chromium-based browser such as Arc, Brave, or Edge)
- An active Aurora Intelligence account
- At least one campaign set up in Aurora
Installation
Install the Extension
Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add to Chrome:

Confirm the permissions prompt. The extension icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar.
Sign In to Aurora
Click the extension icon and sign in with your Aurora Intelligence account credentials (the same email and password you use at aurora-intelligence.tech).
You only need to do this once — the extension stores your session securely.
Select a Campaign
After signing in, choose which Aurora campaign you want to associate the extracted data with. You can change this at any time from the extension popup.
Extract a Result
Navigate to any supported AI platform (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, etc.), run a query, and click Extract in the extension popup while the result is visible on screen.
The extension captures the AI-generated answer, brand mentions, and any cited sources — and sends them to your selected Aurora campaign.
Supported Platforms
The GEO Extractor works on any page where AI-generated answers appear, including:

Support for additional platforms is added regularly. If you don't see a platform listed, try extracting anyway — the extension uses a general-purpose parser that works on most AI answer UIs.
How Extracted Data Appears in Aurora
Extractions show up in your campaign dashboard under the same metrics as automated tracking runs:
- Brand mentions — which brands appear in the AI response
- Citations — which URLs and domains are referenced as sources
- Visibility score — your brand's share of the response relative to competitors
Manually extracted results are labeled with the source geo-extractor so you can filter them separately from automated runs if needed.
Privacy
The extension only reads page content when you explicitly click Extract. It does not run in the background, does not collect browsing history, and does not transmit any data without your action. Extracted content is sent directly to Aurora's API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
